1896, Alphonse  succeed s to his father and carries on with the beautiful adventure of the shop called today "AUGIS 1830". As an enterprising, inventing, and most creative businessman, he was to give a boost to the company, to which he gives his own name A.AUGIS, an exeptional dynamics.

In 1907, this sentimental, refinde, poetic artist, when he was in the mood, gives free rein to his imagination and has a brilliant idea. Moved by Rosemond GŽrard Rostand's verses "to me, everyday I love you more, today more than yesterday and far less than tomorow"- he decided yo engrave them on gold, the only precious metal conveying the nobleness of eternal and genuine love.

He then makes the best of his reputation by creating "La Médaille d'Amour" in every language. It is undoubtedly the most successful jewel ever made in the world, today over two million copies. He registered this successful idea which will encourage him to create a new independant manufacturing company that he will name : A.AUGIS

Concious that promotion was essential to the development of such a company, Alphonse AUGIS as a precursor, and thank to heavy advertising, made his creations famous.

Head manager. One of the Augis Company’s assets was to be run by clever marketers showing great anticipation. In this way, Franck-A-Augis , his eldest son, takes over the business on the 28 th of April 1928, with new prospects in mind, by launching a new line of A.Augis’holly medals, with the help of his youngest brother, John, engrager, which turned out to be a real success.

A.Augis’ creations have now their own signature and identity, and will be successfully distributed throughout an important number of jewellers.

As a clever manager, he manages to turn the Family business into an industrial company far ahead of his time.

1970, Guy A.Augis Franck’ son, takes the lead of the company. Full of this promotion sense inherited from his ancestors, as his family name grew popular, aware of the difficulty in clearly signing and the " A " of Augis.

Thus he designs the " A " Augis, as a discreet and elegant letter though easily identifiable. This " A " shaped links, used for making bracelets or necklaces, clasps and even pendants, rings and earring…

The future of the tradition

A company ready to face the next millennium by maintaining its traditional quality.

1997, Franck- Antoine Augis , in his turn, his personal touch as a creator, while carrying on the tradition. Trained as marketer, he was an experienced executive in an international cosmetics group. His training and professional experience are extra for the company.

He is now the Head Manager With two major and well defined targets :

-Keeping the company up dated as far as creativity and manufacturing techniques are concerned, as well as in managing and communication.

-Expanding the business already world wide set up on French speaking markets into international markets.

A.Augis philosophy : to create and manufacture in France, by maintaining their ancestors’ quality products, by advertising the A.Augis trade mark to boost the sales, the models being exclusive to traditional French and foreign Jewellers.

Augis is still writing today what its past will be tomorrow. That is way the Future should be
